
Making An Event You Can Remember
Media2u has many clients who require their conferences and events to be recorded. This may be so people who are unable to attend can watch at a later date. It can also be to create a memento of the day that can also be used to promote future events.
Running a conference isn’t cheap, with venue hire and catering often running into tens of thousands of pounds. With that investment in your business in mind, doesn’t it make sense to also create a record of the day?
But should you do it? What do you need think about in order to create a great video of your event?
What do I need to consider if I want to have my event recorded?
A video production company can take the worry out of your hands. You won’t have to suffer wobbly clips recorded on a phone in the wrong orientation. In the case of Media2u, we will liaise with the venue and any technical crew to ensure we have the facilities we need and are well briefed.
We’ll ask that you provide us with a running order (this initially need only be provisional) and we will will conduct a planning meeting with you to ensure we full understand your brief.
On the day we will need a final running order and a liaison from your organisation in case of last minute changes, or any issues that arise. For example, at a recent conference we were briefed on the day that there would be a surprise award presentation. This enabled us to ensure we had cameras in the correct locations to capture in a better way than if we had just been in the location we were using to capture the presentations.
If you have booked sound facilities with the venue, we can take a feed from that. As an alternative, we can also place discreet microphones on the lecturn or give speakers radio mic packs in order to capture the best sound.
Delegate Engagement
Video production can help increase engagement with your delegates. The breaks in the day are ideal times to record interviews with them, not only about the conference but also about your products or services. Additionally we can produce videos to play into your presentations and even produce ‘show openers’ to start the day off or welcome people back from breaks.
Editing
We will arrange an edit schedule with you to suit your requirements. Some of our clients need the full presentations uploaded for those who couldn’t attend. Others may only require a highlights package. These will be provided to the schedule you specify. We can prioritise specific parts of the edits so material arrives in the order you expect to the deadlines you have specified.
We can also provide clips for social media sites, again to your specification and timeframe.
